About PM Internship First Phase

The first phase of the PM Internship Scheme started in October last year. A total of 6,21,000 students applied for 1,27,000 internship opportunities across India. After the scheme was launched in December, companies offered 82,077 internships to 60,866 students. Out of these, more than 28,000 students accepted the offers. Minister Harsh Malhotra shared this information in the Lok Sabha. Big companies like IOCL, ONGC, Vedanta, Maruti Suzuki, Titan, and NTPC provided internships in 656 districts. This scheme gave students a chance to learn new skills and gain real work experience. It helped them prepare for jobs in different fields and made their future brighter.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the PM Internship Scheme, students must meet these rules:

  • Must be a permanent resident of India.
  • Age should be between 21 to 24 years.
  • Should not have a full-time job.
  • Can apply if studying in online or distance learning courses.
  • Must have completed high school, ITI, diploma, or graduation.
