Objective of PM Internship Scheme
The primary objective of this PM Internship Scheme is to provide internship opportunities to approximately one crore youths of India so that they are able to get not only experience but also enhance their skills and secure their employment options in future. Under this program selected candidates receive financial support in the form of a monthly stipend, research grants, and other benefits to pursue their research interests. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for PM Internship Scheme applicant must have to meet the following eligibility criteria’s these are as mentioned below
- Applicant must have to be a permanent resident of India.
- Age of the applying applicant must lying in between 21 – 24 years at the time of application.
- Applicants who are not engaged either in full time employee or in full time education are able to apply for the scheme.
- Applicants involved in online or distance learning programs are also eligible to apply for the same.
Ineligibility Criteria
There are some ineligiblity criteria’s these are as listed below
- Applicants graduated from IITs, IIMs, IISER, NIDS, IIITs and National Law University are not able to apply.
- Applicants having any master’s or higher degree including MBBS, BDS, CA, CMA, CS MBA, etc. are not able to apply
- Applicants engaged in any skill, internship, student training program under central or state government are ineligible for the scheme.
- Applicants completed their apprenticeship training in NATS ir NAPS are not able to apply
- Applicant who is either permanent or regular employee of government are not able to apply.
- Annual income of applying candidate’s family more than Rs 8 lakhs are not eligible to apply
Education Qualifications
- Applicants who have completed their high school or higher secondary school are eligible to apply.
- Applicant possess a certificate from an ITI hold diploma from polytechnic institute are able to apply
- Applicant graduated with degree such as BSC, BBA, B.Com, BBA, B. Pharma, BA are eligible for the scheme.
Partner Company Criteria
- Under this scheme a total of top 500 companies have been selected by the ministry as per their average CSR expenditure of previous three years.

Financial Assistance
- Under this program MCA provide financial assistance of Rs 5000 per month for the entire duration of 12 months.
- Additionally, every month the company release Rs 500 based on the attendance from the CSR funds.
- Once the company made the payment then government will pay Rs 4,500 through the direct bank transfer mode.
- Government also provides one time grant of Rs 6000 for incidentals through the mode of direct bank transfer.
- Under this scheme training cost also be provided by from the company CSR funds as per the extant rule.
- As per the reports expenditure of 5% will also be provided to the eligible youths.
- Under this program CSR companies also provide insurance coverage to deserving candidates of India
