Objective Of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana
The motive of the Government of India behind starting the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana is to serve secure life and future to the citizens of the country. To do so under the scheme the government is going to provide insurance benefits up to Rs 2 lakh death cover by paying an annual premium of rupees 12 per annum.

Eligibility Criteria
All those applicants who meet the eligibility conditions specified below can take the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana
- The age of the applicant should be in between 18 to 70 years
- Applicant should have a savings bank account
- The bank account of the applicant must be linked with the Aadhar card
- Nonresident Indians are also eligible to apply for the scheme.

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana Application Procedure
- To apply for the scheme, you need to go to the bank or insurance company nearest branch listed above
- You have to get the application form from their in your preferred language (form is available in English, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Oriya, Telugu, Tamil or Gujarati)
- Fill the details as required in the application form and attach all the documents
- Submit the application form in the same bank or insurance company
Procedure To Apply For Claim
- Imminently inform the bank about the accident to the bank
- For a claim application, you have to download the form by click here or get the application form official website or from bank or insurance company in which you have saving account.
- Submit the application by fill the details in it along with FIR, post mortem report, or death certificate or disability certificate (In the case of total or partial disability) within 30 days of the accident
- Within 30 days bank will forward the application to the insurance company after verifying the documents.
- The claim will be processed within 30 days from receiving the documents from the bank after confirmation of the insured’s name in the list of the insured persons in the master policy.
- The amount will be directly deposited to the bank account of the nominee/insured person.
