Overview of the Third Phase of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana
The third phase of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana Odisha has been launched by the Government of Odisha. Under the third phase, around 1.10 crore families will be covered through this scheme. Health insurance coverage is provided to the beneficiaries. With the launch of 3rd phase of the Biju swasthya Kalyan Yojana, nearly 90% of the state’s population will be covered. All those families who were left in the first two phases of the scheme will be covered in the third face. The expansion of this scheme will include all rural families of the state except regular Government employees and income taxpayers.
- Under the scheme beneficiaries will be entitled to get cashless care worth Rs 5 lakh per annum for family and an additional Rs 10 lakh for women beneficiaries in empanelled private hospitals both inside and outside the state. In the first phase of the scheme health facilities were made free of cost for all persons irrespective of income or residence and in the second phase cashless healthcare in private health facilities was covered for only food security Scheme and ration card holders
