The West Bengal State government has launched the West Bengal Shramshree Scheme 2025-26. Are you also a migrant worker from West Bengal State and are looking to return to your state, but do not have a stable income source? Then worry not, the West Bengal State government has introduced a special scheme for you. Under this initiative, the West Bengal State Government will provide financial assistance of INR 5000 per month to all the migrant workers. With the help of the financial assistance, the migrant workers can get a stable income for a total of 1 year after returning.
About Shramshree Scheme
The scheme was introduced by the Chief Minister of West Bengal State, Mrs Mamta Banerjee, for the upliftment of migrant workers of the state. The direct financial benefit of INR 5000 will be given to the selected migrant workers of West Bengal State through the DBT process. The migrant workers will also receive travel allowance from the state government and educational support for their children. According to the state government, a total of 22.4 lakh migrant workers of West Bengal State will receive the benefits of the scheme. The West Bengal State Government will soon launch an official website for the scheme and allow the migrant workers to apply for the scheme online.

Eligibility Criteria
- The citizens must be Bengali migrant workers, meaning you are originally from West Bengal and have been working in other states.
- The citizens must have returned to West Bengal or return soon to avail the scheme benefits.
- The citizens’ income should be within the specified limit.

- STEP 1: All the workers who want to apply for the West Bengal Shramashree Scheme 2025 are requested to visit the Department of Labour website.
- STEP 2: Once the workers reached the homepage of the official website, they must locate and click on the option called “apply now”.
- STEP 3: A new page will appear on your desktop screen the workers must enter all the information that is asked and attach the necessary documents.
- STEP 4: The workers can now click on the option “submit” to complete their process.
How to Download with Shramshree Mobile App
- STEP 1: All the workers who want to download for the Shramshree Mobile App are requested to visit the official website.
- STEP 2: Once the workers reached the homepage of the official website, they must locate and click on the option called “Click here to download”.
- STEP 3: You will be redirected to the Play Store or App Store of your mobile phone, where the app will appear on your mobile screen.
- STEP 4: The workers can now click on the option “download” to complete their process.
Offline Process (Duare Sarkar Camp)
- STEP 1: All migrant workers who want to apply for the scheme of line are requested to visit the nearest Duare Sarkar camp.
- STEP 2: Once the migrant workers reach the Centre, they must consult with the representative and ask for the application form.
- STEP 3: The migrant workers must enter all the details that are asked for and provide all the necessary documents.
- STEP 4: Now the migrant workers can submit the application form to the representative to complete the process.
