About TS Aasara Pension
The concerned authorities of the Telangana government have created the Telangana Ansar Pension Yojana for people who are above the age of 65 years and the first was released in the year 2018 by the Chief Minister of the Telangana state, K Chandrasekhar Rao. The chief minister has also extended the scheme for people who are between the age of 57 years to 65 years so that all people can get benefit from this Development Scheme created for the old age people in the Telangana state. You can apply for the scheme through the Meeseva centers present in the Telangana state. TS Aasara Pension is created to develop proper premises for old age people.

Objective Of TS Aasara Pension
The main objective of Ts Aasara Pension is to get proper retirement benefits and the beneficiaries are required to submit their birth certificate or their class 10th certificate to get the proper benefits of retirement opportunities. The candidates can also submit their school leaving certificate which is recognized by the government of their state. The candidates can also submit their voter ID cards and the district collectors will be responsible for collecting the applications at the Meeeseva center or the Mee Seva centers. The beneficiaries will not be eligible to pay any registration fees to get the benefit of the development opportunity. During COVID-19, many different types of benefits were provided through the development of Telangana.
Disbursement Cycle Under TS Aasara Pension

Non-Eligibility Criteria
Those persons who belong to those households that are fulfilling one or more of the following conditions that are listed below are not eligible for social security pension:-
- Owners of light or heavy automobiles (four-wheelers and big vehicles)
- Already getting a pension from some other government scheme or getting a freedom fighter pension
- Having a large business enterprise
- Having children who are doctors, contractors, professionals, and self-employed.
- Any other criteria where the verification officer may assess by the manner of lifestyle, occupation, and profession of assets rendering the household ineligible
- Having land more than 3 acres wet/irrigated dry or 7.5 acres dry
- Having children who are government/public sector/private sector employment/outsourced/contract
Eligible Households
The households under the following socio-economic criteria and falling in the above age group must be considered for inclusion and hence eligible for pension if they are not in the exclusion list:-
- Primitive and vulnerable tribal groups
- Women-headed households who are having no able-bodied earning members
- Do households have persons with disability
- In respect of all the pensions only disabled and window pensions per household will be provided to only one family member
- Homeless households
- Households residing in temporary informal establishments or huts, especially in urban areas
- Those households that are headed by widows or terminally ill persons/disabled persons/persons aged 65 years or more with no means of income
- Landless agricultural labourers
- Rural artisans/craftsman
- Slum-dwellers
- Persons earning their livelihood on daily basis in the informal sector
- Other similar categories.
Identification Of Eligible Persons
The authorities will follow the following procedure for the identification of The eligible candidates:-
- The application will be received by the gram panchayat secretary/village revenue officer in the rural area and bill collector in the urban area
- The above-mentioned officials are responsible for verifying the applications and certifying them
- The scrutinizing procedure will be carried by designated Mandal Parishad Development Officer/municipal commissioner/deputy/zonal commissioner and they will sanction their pension based on the guidelines given to them from time to time
- For each Panchayat Mandal and municipality, the data as per the household survey, the census population figure, and the percentage of old age widows and handicapped will be kept in mind besides ensuring equity among various social categories like scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, backward class, etc
- If any person has provided some incorrect details to get a pension then disciplinary action will be initiated and the amount paid to them will be recovered

Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria for the different categories of the Atal Pension Yojana:-
For Old Age-
- The age should be 65 years and above.
- The applicant must belong to primitive and Vulnerable Tribal Groups
- Only one pension in a family, preferably women is eligible.
- Landless agriculture labourers, rural artisans/craftsmen slum dwellers, and persons earning their livelihood on daily basis in the informal sector like porters, coolies, rickshaw pullers, hand cart pullers, fruit/flower sellers, snake charmers, rag pickers, cobblers, destitute and other similar categories irrespective of rural or urban areas are also eligible.
- Homeless, houseless households residing in temporary informal establishments or huts, especially in urban areas are eligible.
- Households headed by widows or terminally ill persons/disabled persons /persons aged 65 years or more with no assured means of subsistence or societal support are also eligible.
For Widow-
- The age of the widow must be above 18 years.
- The applicant must belong to primitive and Vulnerable Tribal Groups
Weavers-
- The age of the weaver must be above 50 years.
- The applicant must belong to primitive and Vulnerable Tribal Groups
- Only one pension in a family can avail of the pension.
- By profession, a person should be in weaving, irrespective of rural or urban areas
For Toddy Tappers-
- The age of the applicant must be above 50 years.
- The applicant must belong to primitive and Vulnerable Tribal Groups
- By profession, the person should be in Toddy Tapping, irrespective of rural or urban areas.
- For Toddy tipper pensions the verification should be confirmed whether the beneficiary is a registered member of the Co-Operative Society of Toddy Tappers.
For Disabled Person-
- A person of any age can apply for the scheme.
- The applicant must belong to primitive and Vulnerable Tribal Groups
