About Economic Rehabilitation Scheme

Under this program the government will provide livelihood by enhancing the industrial activities in the state. The citizens should be between the age of 21 to 55 years for applying under this program. For applying under this program the annual income of the households should not exceed 1.5 lakh in rural areas and 2 lakh in urban areas. Objective of Telangana Economic Rehabilitation Scheme
The objective of Telangana Economic Rehabilitation Scheme is to provide livelihood to the disabled, senior citizens and trans gender of the state. The Candidates who are possessing technical qualifications and/or having considerable experience in the relevant activity may be given priority. The applicant should be between the age of 21 to 55 years for availing the benefits of the scheme. Under this program 100% financial assistance directly by way of subsidy to the units up to Rs.50,000/- unit cost will be provided. The Financial Assistance for above Rs.50,000/- unit cost would be linked to the credit component of bank.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for applying under this program is given below:-
- The applicant should be the permanent resident of Telangana.
- The applicant should posses the Certificate of disability with more than 40 percent of disability.
- The annual Income of the household should not exceed 1.5 lakh in rural and 2 Lakh for urban
- The candidates must not have received any subsidies from the Disabled Welfare Department, any other department, or other government agency during the past five years.
- A household may only participate in one self-employment program throughout a five-year period.
- For the following five years, beneficiaries who take advantage of the program will not be entitled for any benefits under it.
- Candidates with significant experience in the appropriate activity and/or technical qualifications may be given preference.
