About Vetri Nichayam Scheme
The Vetri Nichayam Scheme was started for helping the youth who don’t have jobs and need to get placed soon in companies. It is made for students between 18 to 35 years who have finished graduation, ITI, diploma or even left school before finishing. Training is being given by big industry trainers so that more job chances can be obtained by students. The classes are longer than 100 hours where important skills are taught. TN Skill Corp, which before was called Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, is giving free short training in many industries. More than 350 centres are used for this and 38 sectors are covered. Since 2021, 2.5 lakh youth have been trained and helped. Skills are taught for jobs.

Motive of TN Vetri Nichayam Scheme
The main purpose of the TN Vetri Nichayam Scheme is to help young people learn useful skills so they can be given better job chances in many industries. Free short-time training is being provided by TN Skill Corp, which before was called Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, through more than 350 centres and across 38 sectors. Since 2021, over 2.5 lakh students have already been trained under this. A Skill Registry has also been made where names of trained students are kept, so companies can find them easily and give jobs matching their skills. Factory Skill School was also started to train students and then send them to work in factories. The RPL program is also there to give certificates to people who already have skills but no paper.

Benefits of Scheme
Th benefits of the scheme are as follows:
- Skill Voucher is being given to help jobless youth so they can learn important skills at low prices and then jobs are tried to be given after the course is finished.
- The students are allowed to pick any course they like based on the sectors they are interested in and also the location where they want to study.
- Skill Incentive is also provided for helping students from poor and weak families so that they can also get same chances to learn and earn in future.
- These incentives are used for giving support to families who don’t have enough money and to make their life little better by giving them work skills.
- At present, training is given in 22 sectors which includes BFSI, Electronics, Retail, Green Tech, Aviation, Media, Jewelry, Chemical and Petrochemical, Leather, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Beauty and Wellness, Fitness and Sports, Telecom, Logistics, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Automotive, Soft Skills, Apparel, Capital Goods, Health, and IT/ITES.
- A special focus has been kept on Green Energy like Solar, Windmill and EV so students can be trained for design, installation and service work also.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria under the scheme are as listed below:
- The person must be from Tamil Nadu and should be staying in the state.
- The age of the applicants should be between 18 to 35 years, not less or more.
- Only those students are allowed who are not having any job and are still waiting for getting placed somewhere.
- People who finished graduation, ITI, diploma are allowed, also dropouts are included.
- Those who are looking for quick job and want to learn some skill are mostly given first chance.
