According to the information, the central government of India has released INR 3200 crore as the first installment under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. Release of funds was made by the Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on 11th August 2025. The minister has also reassured the farmers by stating that if they do not receive the payment today, they will receive it a few days later when the central government of India releases INR 8000 crore. According to the information, a total of 30 lakh farmers across the country will receive compensation from the government for damage to crops against natural disasters.
