The Nalam Kakkum Stalin scheme was started by the Tamil Nadu government to improve health and medical care for the people. The scheme was launched by Chief Minister Stalin on August 2 at St. Pete’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Mylapore, Chennai. Under this scheme, free full-body check-ups will be given near people’s houses, so it will be easy for everyone. Camps will be held in all districts from June 2025 to March 2026, and three camps will be held in each block. In big cities, more camps will be set up based on the population. A total of 1250 camps will be arranged. In these camps, 15 types of check-ups will be provided, like sugar, BP, X-ray, eye, dental, skin, heart, and child health.

Motive of Nalam Kakkum Stalin
The main aim of the Nalam Kakkum Stalin scheme is to help people stay healthy by giving free medical check-ups near their area. The scheme is made for old people, poor families, and village people who can’t go to city hospitals. Many people don’t go for a health check-up because they don’t have money or the hospital is very far away. Tests like BP, sugar, heart, and more will be done, and the reports will be sent to the mobile on the same day. This scheme was started to find health problems early and give treatment fast.
