The Rajasthan state government launched the Mukhyamantri Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme 2024-25. The scheme was implemented along the lines of the central-sponsored MNREGA scheme, which aims to provide employment opportunities to unemployed citizens. The Chief Minister of Rajasthan state started the scheme back in 2022 to increase employment opportunities in the state. The scheme was launched by previous Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on August 30, 2022, at Shri Umaid Government Stadium, Jodhpur. Objective of Mukhyamantri Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme
The main objective of launching the Mukhyamantri Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme is to make sure all the citizens of Rajasthan state get employment opportunities. The scheme aims to decrease the number of unemployed citizens in India significantly. With the help of this scheme, the Rajasthan state government will provide financial support to the families living within the limits of urban bodies of urban areas of the state, especially economically weaker, helpless, and unemployed families. All the selected unemployed citizens are eligible to get 100 days of employment under this scheme. As of now, 1.5 Lakh unemployed citizens have registered under the scheme to get employment opportunities.

Govt Rename Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme
The Rajasthan state government has renamed the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme to Mukhyamantri Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme. The current Chief Minister of Rajasthan state Mr Bhajan Lal Sharma has announced the rename of the scheme. Not only the name Bada current Rajasthan state government also changed the logo. For the implementation of this scheme, the authorities have set up a total budget of INR 800 crore.

- The designs must be between the age group of 18 to 60 years.
- The citizens must be registered under Jan Aadhar.
