Medical Insurance for State Employees and Pensioners is created to provide cashless treatments to all the people and treatments of up to rupees 20 lakh will be covered through the implementation of MEDISEP Hospitals List. The beneficiaries can make a contribution of rupees 500 each month from their salary and this contribution will be directly transferred to the implementation of the scheme for the residents of Kerala. The government has impaneled a lot of hospitals for the development of this scheme and all of the people will be able to apply for the scheme starting today. The last date to apply for the scheme is 31st December 2022. The scheme started on the first of July 2022 for all employers.

Objective Of MEDISEP Hospitals List
The Government of Kerala state has started this program to provide proper insurance coverage to all of the employees of the State Government of Kerala. Different hospitals are included in the development of this scheme and you can get cashless treatment in any of the hospitals of your choice if you apply for this prestigious scheme. The hospital list can be checked from the official website of the scheme created by the government of Kerala and then decide whether you want to be a part of this prestigious scheme. Your contribution will be automatically deducted from your salary which the State Government of Kerala gives. All the State Government employees will be the beneficiary of the scheme.
Benefits Of MEDISEP Hospitals List
The following benefits are included in the development of this prestigious scheme:-
- 30 million individuals will be able to get a profit through the development of the scheme of Rs 3 lakh per year.
- There are 1920 procedures and treatments included in this scheme.
- The beneficiaries will also get monetary funds for housing food, drugs, doctors, and other medical expenditures.
- You can also get a transplant through the development of this scheme.
- The beneficiaries will get 3 lakh rupees annually to get insurance.
- Half of the monetary Fund will be fixed and the other half will be under the floated system.
- So if the floater system stays unused in the current year, it will move to the next year, and eventually, if it is not used in the first 2 years, it will pile up, and in the final third year, the total money the beneficiary will accumulate will be around 6 lakh rupees.
- The basic package of schemes includes catastrophic secondary and tertiary benefits, treatments, emergency, and trauma care operations, as well as routine care treatments.
- The MEDISEP program provides beneficiaries with care without the use of cash.
- 15-day pre-hospitalization period and three days post-hospitalization period all expenses will be covered with the MEDICEP scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for this scheme:-
- The applicant must be admitted to the hospital for a full day or a full 24 hours.
- The following people are eligible for the scheme-
- The beneficiary list contains all the government employees of the state government.
- Government employees, the staff teachers, and the non-teaching staff Plus their family members and pensioners of aided schools and colleges.
- Additionally, staff of the chief minister opposition ministers speakers Deputy speakers
- The following people are not eligible for the development of this scheme-
- In Kerala, there is still a list of ineligible groups. Employees and retirees of autonomous organizations, cooperative institutions, and boards, such as KSEB, KSRTC, and KWA, are not eligible. State Information Commission and Human Rights Commission employees and retirees also couldn’t attend.
