The Maharashtra state government has started the Maharashtra RTE Admission 2025-26. To provide a free education to all the students who are financially weak and cannot afford primary education the Maharashtra state government has started the admission for Maharashtra RTE. The Maharashtra state government will make sure that students who are below the age of 14 years will receive quality education from private schools by paying less or no fees. With the help of Maharashtra RTE the kids who belong to a financially weak household, have a single parent or an orphans will receive free education in private schools.

About Right to Education (RTE)
The Right to Education Act is a law that was passed by the government of India in 2009 to provide necessary education to children below the age of 14 years. Under this act, all the children who are between the age group of 6 to 14 years will receive primary education in private. This act will ensure that all the students will receive proper education. All the students who belong to the BPL SC ST or OBC category and have an annual income less than INR 1 lakh are eligible to avail the benefits of the right to education.
Objective of Maharashtra RTE Admission 2025-26
The main objective of launching the Maharashtra RTE admission 2025-26 is to make sure the students will receive primary education without worrying about financial troubles. Because of this act, the Maharashtra state government has commanded all the private schools to reserve 25% of seats for students who belong to financially weak households. The applications for the Maharashtra RTE will start on 14th January 2025 and the last date to submit the application is 27th January 2025. After the submission of the application students will be selected on the basis of the lottery method. The Maharashtra RTE will apply to the social status and standard of living of the children who belong to the economically weaker section of society.

Eligibility Criteria
- The students must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra state.
- The children must be between the age group of 3 to 6 years.
- The children’s family must belong to the BPL, ST, or SC community.
