8 Lakh Women will Get ₹500 Instead of ₹1500
According to the official reports, the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis made a new rule regarding the well-known Ladki Bahin Yojana that they slashed the monthly payout from Rs 1,500 to Rs 500 for 8 lakh women who are also receiving Rs 1,000 per month under the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi scheme. Under this rule selected women beneficiaries who may receive other financial assistance from government women welfare schemes will only receive in such a condition if the total monthly benefit does not exceed Rs 1,500. By offering this reduction in the financial assistance CM declared that it is part of the state’s ongoing scrutiny to ensure that scheme is limited to those who meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Ladki Bahin Yojana, applicant must have to meet the following eligibility criteria’s these are as follows:-
- Applying applicant must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra state.
- Applicant must be a female by gender.
- Age of the applicant must be in between 21 to 65 years
- Applicant must have their own bank account linked with Aadhar card.
- Applicant who is either married, divorced, widowed, abandoned and destitute women, or one unmarried girl in the family are also eligible to apply for Ladki Bahin Yojana.
- Annual income of applying candidate’s family must not be more than Rs 2.50 lakhs per annum from all sources.
