About West Bengal Krishak Bandhu Scheme
Department of Agriculture Government of West Bengal has introduced the Krishak Bandhu Scheme for the farmers. Through the scheme, the government is going to provide financial assistance to all the farmers of West Bengal for agricultural purposes and to provide social security to their families. In the year 2021 on 17th June, the honorable Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee recast the scheme and renamed it as “Krishak Bandhu (Natun)”. Under this new scheme, farmers will be going to get benefits for agriculture purposes, assured income, and death benefits.

Objective Of Krishak Bandhu Scheme
The objective of Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee of West Bengal behind starting krishak Bandhu scheme is to provide financial help to the farmers for agriculture purposes. Moreover, to provide assured income and death benefits to provide social security to the farmer’s family.
Components of Krishak Bandhu
Under krishak Bandhu scheme there are two components mentioned below:
- Krishak Bandhu (assured income) scheme
- Krishak Bandhu (death benefit) scheme
Benefits/ Features Of Krishak Bandhu Scheme
- The scheme has been launched by the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamta Banerjee.
- The benefits of this scheme are for the farmers of West Bengal and their families.
- Beneficiaries who meet the eligibility criteria will go to get financial support of rupees 10000 per year for the cultivation of land.
- The amount under this scheme will be given in two equal installments first during Kharif and second during Rabi season.
- Farmers having less than 1 acre land will also receive assistance on a proverb basis subject to minimum assistants of 4000.
- In case of death of the farmer in the age group of 18 to 60 years, legal heirs of the deceased will get the grant of Rs 2 lakh.
- Farmers who are eligible for the krishak Bandhu will get the preference in the state government paddy procurement scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should be a farmer
- Applicant must be a resident of West Bengal
- To get the assured income benefits applicant must hold cultivable land with ROR, Patta, forest Patta and recorded bhagchasi.
- In the case of death of the farmer or Bhagchasi, the age of decrease is in between 18 to 60 years then the legal heirs of the deceased will receive death benefits.

Application Procedure for Krishak Bandhu Scheme
- To apply for the scheme, first of all you have to go to the Krishak Bandhu website
- On the home page, you will see the “Order Memoranda and Notices” link
- Click on it and a list of PDFs will open on the screen
- Select “Revised English KB(N) Annexure & Form16_12_2021” or “REVISED Bengali KB(N) Annexures & Form16_12_2021” from the list
- Download the application form and take print out of it
- Fill in the information as required in the form including
- Name
- Residential Address
- Father’s/ Hundand’s Name
- Date of birth
- Mobile No
- Aadhar card etc.
- Attach all the documents listed above and submit the form to the nearest Duare Sarkar Camp
Track Beneficiary Status Online
- To check beneficiary status, you should open the official website of the Krishak Bandhu
- From the home page of the portal, you have to click the option called “Registered farmer information”
- A new page will appear on the screen
- Enter the voter card number in the given space
- Hit search option appears next to it
- As you hit your status will appear on the screen.
Online Login Procedure
- To log in you should open the official website of the Krishak Bandhu
- From the home page of the portal, you have to click the option called “Department of Agriculture”
- A new page will appear on the screen
- You have to enter your User ID & password in the given space
- Choose the login option to open the user’s dashboard
- By following the above-mentioned process you may log in with the portal
Procedure to Retrieve Password of Login ID
In case you forgot your password then you should follow the further mentioned steps:
- To retrieve your password, you should open the official website of the Krishak Bandhu
- From the home page of the portal, you have to click the option called “Department of Agriculture”
- A new page will appear on the screen
- Choose Forgot your password option
- Now you should enter the email ID
- Choose to send the OTP button
- Enter the OTP in the given space
- Select verify option
- Now you have to create a new password
- Enter the same to confirm new password blank
- Choose submit option
- A message of successfully changed password will show on the screen
Agent Login Procedure
