Overview of Khel Maharani
Assam Chief Minister Shri Himanta Biswa Sharma and the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs launched Assam Khel Maharan, which allows the youth of Assam to compete in the Games. According to the administration, the state will host Khel Maharan from November 1, 2023, to January 10, 2024. This year, about 50 lakh players are expected to participate in the Sports and Youth Welfare Department’s Assam Khel Maharan 2024 program. At the Gramme Panchayat, ULB, Ward, Gramme Parishad Department Committee, and MAC levels, it has been decided to organize Khel Maharan for the Bodoland Territorial Cause. Five different sports kabaddi, athletics, football, volleyball, and khokho will be played in Assam.
