Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who arrived in Karnal on Thursday to mark the end of the Manohar government’s nine-year tenure in Haryana, bestowed numerous presents on the people of the state. While launching the AntyodayaMahasammelan, Shah announced that beginning January 1, the elderly in the state will receive a Rs 3,000 pension. The Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Haryana Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Scheme would provide free pilgrimage to the elderly over 60. Antyodaya families will also benefit from free highway travel. He introduced the scheme, the Ayushman Bharat Chirayu Scheme, the Haryana Income Augmentation Board Scheme, the Chief Minister Antyodaya Milk Production Scheme, and the Haryana Antyodaya Transportation Scheme.

The Haryana Mukhyamntri Tirth Yatra scheme has been launched by the home minister of India Mr. Amit Shah in corroboration with the CM of Haryana. This scheme was recently launched for the welfare of older citizens of Haryana. Members of families with an annual income of less than Rs 1.80 lakh who are over 60 years old would be taken on pilgrimages to Ayodhya, Varanasi, and other holy destinations under the ‘Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra’ initiative, officials said. This scheme has been mainly launched for the Hindu Devotees so that they can perform the Hindu pilgrimage with ease.

Eligibility Criteria
