The Goa state government has launched the Goa Archaeological Research Fellowship Scheme 2025. Then worry not, the state government has introduced a new Fellowship for you. Under the fellowship, the authorities will select a total of 4 research scholars for senior and junior level research in Goa. With the help of this initiative, the selected researchers will receive financial assistance of INR 25,000 in a junior place and INR 40,000 in a senior place.
Objective of Goa Archaeological Research Fellowship Scheme
The main objective of launching the fellowship is to allow the researchers to complete their research without any difficulty. The financial assistance will assist the young researchers to continue their research without any financial difficulties. Scholars must be doing their research in the fields of Indian history, culture, archaeology, and Indology. The fellowship also provides various expert analyses to the researchers and allows them to complete their Fellowship under the guidance of experts. The fellowship will promote and develop a research culture in the State of Goa in the field of Archaeology.

- There are a total of four fellowships introduced by the authorities, two for junior research fellowships and two for senior research.

Salient Features
- Validity: The validity of the fellowship is 2 years for all the selected research under the fellowship.
- Report: The selected researchers under the fellowship will have to submit half-yearly reports to the authorities regarding the project.
- Submission: The project report in the form of 2 hard copies and a soft copy must be submitted within 30 days after the completion of her/his 24 months of fellowship.
- Ownership: The project submitted shall be exclusively the property of the Department of Archaeology, Government of Goa.
