The NTR Vaidya Seva Scheme was stopped for one day by many private hospitals because money was not given to them. More than 730 hospitals had stopped the free treatment, and many poor patients were not able to get help. But now the service has started again from April 8. This was told by the Andhra Pradesh Speciality Hospitals Association (ASHA). The Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, had a fast meeting with ASHA people, and he said Rs 500 crore will be given soon. This money is only a part of Rs 3,500 crore that is still not paid. The hospital was happy and agreed to start the scheme again. Many people are feeling better now. Help is being given again.

  • Must be a member of a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family.
  • Name should be listed on the White Ration Card.

    • For post-treatment sustenance allowance, the amount and Bank details must be given to Vaidya Mithra along with the Bank passbook.
  • Cashless OP treatment is also given under this scheme.
  • Doctor consultation is free.

      • Serum Creatinine / Blood Urea
      • Urine Analysis CUE

  • For 138 identified procedures, free follow-up medicines for 1 year is given.
  • At discharge time patient must give a Confirmation Letter that says:
    • “You have not faced any problem and have not spent money during the hospitalization period.”
  • Consent Letter also to be given that says:
    • “The Trust can process the treatment cost as per the package to the Hospital through my Virtual account.”

Process of Getting Benefits

Here is the process that works for getting treatment under the scheme, which we have provided below:

  • First, the employee or pensioner goes to a network hospital for treatment.
  • Then, patient registration is done at the hospital by the Vaidya Mithra team.
  • If the patient already has a permanent health card, it will be issued.
  • If the patient has no permanent card, they will move forward without it.
  • Biometric verification must be enabled before moving to the next steps.
  • Then, the hospital’s MEDCO doctor does the first check-up and diagnosis.
  • After this, two things can happen based on the diagnosis at the hospital:
  • If a patient needs to stay in the hospital, inpatient registration is done.
  • If the patient can go home, outpatient registration is completed.
  • For inpatients, e-preauthorization is done before starting the treatment.
  • Surgery or treatment is done at the hospital after getting approval.
  • Once treatment is finished, the patient is discharged from the hospital.
  • After going home, follow-up treatment and medicine is given if needed.
  • Lastly, the claim process is done so the hospital gets payment.
