The Delhi government has released the Delhi New Old Age Pension Scheme 2024. With the help of this scheme, the Delhi government will provide financial assistance to all the senior citizens of Delhi. All the senior citizens who are above the age of 60 years will receive monthly financial aid from the Delhi government. According to the information from AAP leader Mr Arvind Kejriwal the Delhi Government will add a total of 80000 senior citizens to the current pension scheme. To make the application process simple for all the senior citizens the authorities also launched the official portal.
About Delhi New Old Age Pension Scheme
The Delhi New Old Age Pension Scheme is one of the most successful schemes launched by the AAP party in Delhi. All the senior citizens who will get selected under the scheme will receive a pension amount of up to INR 2500 per month. Senior citizens between the age group of 60 to 69 years will receive a monthly pension of INR 2,000 while senior citizens who are above the age of 70 years will receive INR 2,500 per month. Since the launch of the official portal, a total of 10,000 senior citizens have already applied for the scheme.

The main objective have launching the Delhi New Old Age Pension Scheme is to provide financial support to all the financially unstable senior citizens of Delhi. According to the information a total of 5.3 lakh senior citizens across Delhi will receive financial assistance under the scheme. The Minister also announced that they are planning to extend the scheme for citizens who are specially-abled with a monthly pension of INR 5000. With the help of the monthly pension, the senior citizens can live their post-retirement lives comfortably without being a burden on anyone.

- The senior citizens must be permanent residents of Delhi.
- The senior citizens must be above the age of 60 years.
- The annual income of the senior citizen family must not exceed INR 1 lakh.
- Senior citizens must hold Aadhar linked bank account.

STEP 2: Once the senior citizens reach the homepage of the official website they must locate and click on the option called “register”.
STEP 3: Any page will appear on your desktop screen the senior citizens must enter their Aadhar card number along with the captcha code and click on the option “continue”.
