Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi introduced the Ayushman Bharat program for elderly folks, sometimes referred to as the Ayushman Vaya Vandana. The Prime Minister declared the opening of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme for Senior Citizens on the occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti and the 9th Ayurveda Day. The program’s benefits are available to any Indian senior citizens who are older than 70. This program helps older adults from lower-income groups receive medical care for their illnesses without having to worry about hospital fees and other costs.

Distribution of Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card
Health Minister Pankaj Singh said on Saturday that the Delhi government would formally launch the Ayushman Bharat card program for individuals 70 years of age and over on April 28 by issuing the cards to a select group of eligible elderly adults. The declaration came after Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena attended a World Liver Day ceremony. Cashless treatment for 1,961 medical procedures in 27 disciplines is available to Delhi residents under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).
