The Lakhpati Didi program is made to help Self-Help Group (SHG) women earn at least Rs. 1 lakh in a year. It is not a new scheme but a part of the DAY-NRLM. More ways to earn money are given to SHG members. This makes them “Lakhpati Didis.” The Assam Lakhpati Didi Monitoring Report is used to check how much income has grown. Every six months, it is updated after crops are harvested or a business is finished. The report is kept at the Village Organization (VO) level. Women are helped to earn more in different ways.
