About RTE Admission Act
The Right to Education Act, also called RTE Act, was made by the Parliament of India on 4 August 2009 and was started to give free and compulsory education to kids between 6 and 14 years. The Act came into force on 1 April 2010 and after that India was made one of the 135 countries where education is a basic right. It was said that 25% seats must be kept in private schools for poor children and government will pay money. Kids are admitted based on money status or caste and no interviews are taken. Unrecognised schools were banned from running. Also, no donation is asked during admission. Children cannot be failed or removed before elementary school is over. Special classes are also given to dropout kids.

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for AP RTE Admission in Andhra Pradesh are as follows:
- 5% of the seats are reserved for disadvantaged groups like SC children.
- 10% of the seats are reserved for ST children.
- 4% of the seats are for orphans, HIV-affected, and disabled children.
- 6% of the seats are for weaker sections, including BC, Minorities, and OCs, whose annual income in rural areas should not exceed Rs. 1,20,000, and in urban areas, it should not exceed Rs. 1,44,000.
Note:
- The reservation order is for private schools in plain areas. If orphans, HIV-affected, or disabled children are not available, or only a few apply, those vacancies will be filled by ST and SC children. If there are still unfilled seats after this, they will be added to the weaker sections.
- In Tribal areas, all ST children should be admitted first. After that, SC children can be admitted. Once all SC seats are filled, the remaining seats will be filled by others.
- Minority schools are exempt from implementing RTE 12(1)(C), but they must provide proof of their minority status.
