About Annal Ambedkar Business Champions Scheme
Annal Ambedkar Business Champions Scheme has been launched by the Department of Micro Small Medium Enterprises, Government of Tamil Nadu. Under the scheme, subsidies are provided to the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe community for entrepreneurship. The Government of Tamil Nadu is going to provide a 35% capital subsidy and a 6% interest subvention for the loans to procure machinery and equipment. All the citizens belonging to schedule caste and schedule tribe will be able to avail the benefit of this scheme. With the implementation of this scheme, the beneficiaries will be economically developed. Other than that it will also generate employment. For the implementation of the scheme, the government will also formulate state state-level steering committee. This committee will implement this scheme in the entire state.

- The main objective of the Annal Ambedkar Business Champions Scheme is to provide various kinds of subsidies to entrepreneurs belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribe

- Eligible enterprises can be business enterprises in the area of manufacturing or service
- Trading-related projects that are above the threshold of existence under the existing unemployed youth employment generation program scheme will also be eligible
- The age limit of the applicant is 55 years
- There is no minimum qualification to get the benefit of this scheme
- There is no bar on the beneficiary to claim additional capital subsidy from other schemes
- The government will also provide entrepreneurship development training to all beneficiaries.
